Stowe vt today Feb 12, 2024 · There is Spruce Peak (at Stowe) but its flooded with racers. Stowe has been getting a lot of flack lately about charging for parking and not treating their staff well. Stowe is a small resort town in New York State. I generally stay off of Mansfield unless it is the last run of the day as sometimes the gondola can take a bit, but the trail selection is only worth it there if you are looking for specifically groomers. Poor stratton is so far south that this year the snow is just washed away by all the rain. Dining at the Trapp Family Lodge is really nice. Feb 11, 2023 · Stowe is a lot bigger, has better terrain and better snow. Some of the blacks, like Nosedive, Main Street and Hayride are nice progressions if you feel like going a bit steeper. Probably the toughest part is the "entrance" to Perry Merrill and Gondolier if it's icy and crowded. Stowe isn't much of a hole-in-the-wall kind of town. That said it offers a fun day of typical east coast skiing that is not too far.
